Penguin Webs

Static Web Sites

There are basically two types of web sites on the internet today. Static sites contain a set of web pages that are designed once, and then placed on a web site where they can be viewed by internet visitors. The information on these web pages is basically unchanged (hence the name 'static') and each time a visitor views a web page, they see the same information (text and graphics).

These static web sites are seen all over the web and are probably the most widely used type found today.

Static web pages can include flash 'widgets' and javascript components that provide an interesting graphical experience for visitors to the site.

When a web page needs to be edited, it is common for the site owner to contact the web designer in order to make changes and updates information.
